Expect the changes to be rung tonight as West Ham start their run in to the end of the season. Speculation is rife that both Freddie Sears and James Tomkins will start the game against a Portsmouth side which be will missing several of its leading stars including Jermain Defoe. Freddie Ljunberg willmiss out, with his place probably being filled by Nobby Solano. George McCartney is also a major doubt, along with Matthew Upson.
Last season’s game against Portsmouth was a terrible disappointment, with Linvoy Primus ruling the game and nabbing two goals to boot. Surely tonight cannot be worse than that. It has the added incentive of putting the Hammers seven points above Spurs if we win. Now that really is something worth playing for.
Probably stupid but I’ve got a good feeling about this game. As you say Iain surely it can’t be worse than last year and we’ve got to beat them at home sooner or later. No better time than now with the players missing and hopefully the champagne bubbles still in their collective bloodstreams! Who’s this Freddie Sayers though?
thats all thats left ! finish above the spudlies and then have bragging rights all next season.
hope harry gets the usual reception.
coyi.
typo: Freddie Sears, not Sayers
Let’s hope Curbs is far sighted enough to see the last 6 games as the start of next year’s preparations …
Great idea blooding the youngsters at this stage in the season. It will certainly help towards highlighting weak positions and dead wood …
Freddie Sayers – who?
Mr Dale,
Who is this player Sayers?? Is he a new left back, or a battling central midfielder?
What’s he like.
Or do you mean young ‘SEARS’?
Paul
Apologies for the mistake. I used to work with someone called Freddie Sayers so I was obviously not concentrating!
Ma, lascia perdere ci penso io… si chiama Searshave yer self!
Yet another poor performance by our side and no doubt more excuses about the injuries.Roll on next season and thank god we have have gianluca nani joining the club in June, maybe he can help shake things up abit and bring in someone who knows where the back of the net is.We were disgraceful
just got back from game, and yes we are F—–G!!!!! shit,we cant score for toffee!!!!sorry goodnite!!!
mucked it up again i see, just about to watch it.f.knows why?
The Hammers just got a slating from Mr McInally on Sky Sports – looks like the players have all had their summer holidays booked for a while now.
This season’s game against Portsmouth was a terrible disappointment again. Will the Hammers be able to achieve a top ten-finish? I’m not sure anymore…
well what a load of carp i see last night, never seen the long ball played so much it was just long ball after another lbm well i had seen on here and on tv how bad he is but he is worse when your there but curbs keeps on picking him why i ask?? very diserpointed
just read curbs comments about bonus for finishing in top 10.what a tossrag, just sums up the majority of footballers etc .as long as they get more money they are more than happy to just jog along putting in the mimimum effort, dont worry about the fans who have watched probably the most boring west ham team that they can remember.i have previously held judgement on curbs but now im begining to see the light.very pissed off at the moment….
“It has the added incentive of putting the Hammers seven points above Spurs if we win. Now that really is something worth playing for”. Saddo!
