Blair, Prescott, Anschutz & the LA Transfer

There is something a bit strange about the David Beckham move to LA Galaxy Soccer Club and the links that are made between this Prescott, Blair, Anschutz and the Dome etc.

After John Prescott met Anscutz at the ranch in Colorado he flew to Los Angeles with Tim Liewecke President and CEO of Anshutz Entertainment Group (AEG) to sit in Anschutz’s box to watch LA Galaxy play the San Jose Earthquakes on 23rd July 2006 at the Home Depot Center. AEG owns the Home Depot Centre and The Dome in London. Beckham has football acadamies at both the Home Depot Centre and at the Dome sponsored and supported by Anschutz. In March 2006 Chelsea FC announced a long term committment with AEG. Chelsea FC visited Los Angeles at the end of July 2006 and were staying at The Beverly Hills Hotel on Sunset Boulevard (aka The Pink Palace) when Tony Blair arrived at same hotel after his trip to San Francisco.

So did Blair lay the foundation of the Becks deal with Anshutz ? Would he get agent’s commission on the $250,000,000 deal? Is that why the deal is so big? Just joking…
