Craig Bellamy No Thanks

Today’s Times is predicting that Yossi Benayoun will be used as bait in a deal with Liverpool to get Craig Bellamy. Not sure I approve of that. Bellamy has been a troublemaker at every club he has been to – Norwich, Coventry, Newcastle, Blackburn and Liverpool are just the ones I can remember. Not sure how would be conducive to a good team spirit…

  1. Just don’t see it – why let one of your stars go? Especially after his last few games…doesn’t seem to stack up with the 3 more in line from Eggy.

  2. Trickywhu1 says:

Bellamy is ok but that is all he is i think he would find it hard to score 15 goals a season at West Ham still a better choice than Defoe for me. i think Yossi should stay with us he is a quality player in anyones team.

  3. Deano says:

Why use Yossi as bait when we have all the money we need to make Liverpool part with an underperformer?

    Doubt it very much.

  4. Gareth says:

If we sign Bellamy I will lose so much respect for West Ham. Please say it’s all just rubbish? I like the sound of this Argentinian goalkeeper and some “quality” signings but Bellamy is just the type of player we DON’T need at Upton Park. Bring back Defoe!

  5. Gareth says:

Also who would be worth more to West Ham. Yossi or Bellamy? Exactly..

  6. ny hammer says:

bellamy has failed everywhere he s gone. why in hell would we waste time and money on him. his attitude,on and off the pitch is a disgrace. we do not need this sort of waster at west ham

  7. MOORO says:

    no no no NOOOOOO!

  8. Trickywhu1 says:

I here that bellamy and defoe turned us down already for being a small club why is curbs looking at players that cant even hold down a place at there own clubs and that dont have any respect for us? i say nugent even though he would jump ship to everton at the first opportunity he would score more goals than then two combined and is still young and england proven well a bit anyway

  9. ny hammer says:

agree totally with comment that we shouldnt be looking at players who either feel westham are not a big enough club or who cant get a place in their own teams.

who the hell are defoe and bellamy to be thinking they re too big for west ham. thse are teh perrenial underachievers, and neither one would know what loyalty is if it bit them in the rear.

  10. Danny says:

Just read the Daily maill it say’s Westham have beaten Totenham and Liverpool to get Daren Bent, But Alan spent 18 milion to get him what a waste of money

  11. Trickywhu1 says:

thats just someone tryin to sell papers aint no body gonna pay more than 12 mil at most i read nuno gomez for 3 mil it seems a bit more likely

  12. Hammerithome says:

    READ THIS PLEASE…GENUINE STORY
Guy on another site says he met Yossi in Romford in a play area type thing with his daughter.
Yossi said that he hasn’t signed a new contract with West Ham as Curbs dropped him from the team for 3 or 4 matches then realised he was wrong and brought him back into the team for the final few matches.
Yossi said he was mistified as to why he was dropped and he didn’t know if he signed for us whether it would happen again,so this is why he is stalling.
Yossi will sign for us if Curbs tells him he is wanted in the team. He will go to Liverpool if they come in soon for him though. I hope he stays.

  13. Sam says:

well i think it is great. i am a big fan of bellamy’s football skills. Hopefully curbs will tame bellamy and make him a succsess to westham.
