Derby Preview

This is exactly the sort of match we need to take three points from, and I believe we will. Lungberg and Dean Ashton are back in the squad but it would be surprising if either of them were in the starting eleven. I suspect Carlton Cole will play up front on his own from the start. Mark Noble is out for three weeks and I doubt if Hayden Mullins will feature, so there is a very makeshift look to central midfield.

I reckon that’ll be about the team to take the field Iain. Curbs might risk Ashton in the last half hour if things are not going well. Derby are going to be desperate for points at home as they are starting to slip behind. We have to be careful early on. If Cole is alone up front i would like to see George getting forward occasionally as the form he is in he could double his tally. Watching it on Fox & looking forward to an improved performance. I think we are good for a win.

Well i’d like to see Camara up front with Cole, and with a game like Derby we should be able to try these two up front together without worrying to much. After recent performances i’d have LBM on the bench and bring him on towards the end. But with Curbs you never know what could happen with the line up.

sorry mate but you got it wrong with a couple of players!spector wouldn’t be much more than a benchwarmer in my line up, I’d replace him with either reid or collison if he was included!more over I’d give camara an opportunity instead of boa morte.

I can’t believe our injuries this year. Did we run over a black cat in the team bus or something?
The team looks a mere shadow of what it should and we never know how this will affect the lads until kick off and then all we can do is pray for a result.
We should in theory be too strong for Derby, but as we all know, this is West Ham and we can never count our chickens.

hope your right ,as i m getting a bit sick of lawrenson predicting us getting beat week in and week out. problem with this match is that anything less than a win by a two goal margin will see the press, per usual, slice and dice us.

on paper ,yes, the result is the most obvious of the season. in reality ,something a bit different. they are playing at home, in desperate need of points to avoid the drop, and as it stands now, they re not that far out of court yet, despite their terrible start. we are playing with 13 odd men injured and it s safe to assume Bywater will be well up for this one. this will be anything but easy . i just hope the lads are sufficently bitter about conceding to bolton ,that they come out fighting, and persist fighting for the 90 minutes. test of character this one, regardless of the position of the opposition in the league table.
