Thats a well timed bid from spurs, or is that to unsettle Bells before the Portsmouth game ,to try and save face for his mate Tony, because he knows we are going to thrash them on Boxing day……………………………………..

  16. chris says:

devo…zola will walk.its just a matter of time, heard from a good source that upson will go as well.Hope they dont, these next 2 weeks we will find out if our chairmans a big s–t or not.

Gutted by this report and what great timing on xmas eve!! Hammers board stop treating your fans like rubbish And deny the spud scum please!!

  18. Richard says:

    Happy Christmas,
On Sky sports news Spus for in talks with Bellamy! As yet a sum has not been Quoted!

  19. Upton Spark says:

Have you all noticed that when a Chairman says I am backing my manager and his job is safe,AND when West Ham say that no one will be sold,it means absolutely nothing.
In actual fact,it means the complete opposite.
Three Managers have gone this season so far who’s jobs were safe, and West Ham are just about to sell their star players-BRILLIANT!!!
    Pass the brandy someone…….
Thanks West Ham for messing up my Christmas, you are so good at what you do; ie TELLING PORKIES to us the fans. Cheers.

  20. Ben Downing says:

    Merry Christmas Iain

  22. Hammer says:

Hi, Merry Christmas to you all and thanks Iain for all your efforts this past year. Would hate to see Bellamy go. I love watching him play. He’s so intense and has been a real light throughout this tough time. Our club really does suck sometimes we are just made to look a laughing stock, Bellamy and Upson have proved to be real class we should be building our team on and around them not getting rid. Oh well somethings never change. I should know better after all these years. Still at least i have a reason to start drinking early today, think it might be needed.
Heres to a win against pompy. Cheers.

  23. Georgie takes no sh!t says:

The owners have to go, I just can’t believe throughout my 20 years of following the hammers we have had 20 years of sh!t chairmanship. I think Zola is the right man and Nani might be a good asset but the single route of trying to find cheaper alternatives will eventually backfire.

Dear santa isn’t it about time West ham fans got some presents? but not any illegal ones from Kia. oh and a West Ham fan with an unrivaled business knowledge and a very fat wallet

  24. Upton Spark says:

Just seen Harry R on Sky Sports and he says he has definately put a bid in for Bellamy as he rates him highly. We have not accepted their bid (yet) but it’s just a matter of time I guess?
The players we want to get rid of nobody else wants. I wonder why?
The players we need to keep, evrybody wants them(of course)so we are in a very difflecult position at the moment.
    Merry Christmas.

  25. Auckland Hammer says:

    Team to face Pompey –
    Green , Collins, Upson , Davenport , Ilunga , Behrami , Noble , Parker , Lopez , Bellamy & Tristan !!!

  26. Auckland Hammer says:

PS – That’s with Sears on the bench aswell with Collison , Etherington , Di Michele & Dyer.

  27. jon.london colney says:

ok,here i go…. harry says he will not buy any player unless they can improve the current spudlies team,he then puts in a bid for bellamy.this means he(A well respected english manager in the premiership)thinks a fellow stuggling clubs forward is better than what he has got allready.so without doubt IF we sell him to the spuds how the hell are the club going to justify any reason for selling him? in basic terms,we sell to our main relegation rivals we are commiting our team to relegation.
when real madrid want man u ‘s best player what happened? so this situation is increasingly dangerous from bg’s point.he will have a revolt bigger than the icelandik bank on his hands if he sells our best player/s.unless hes done a deal for ronaldo that is?

  28. nr2iron says:

I at this time am at the lowest in all my years of supporting west ham united as for the first time when the icelandic firm came in i believed we at last could keep the players we brought through the ranks and could enjoy “our west ham at last” but it looks like we are heading back to the bad old days and i for one have had it,if the good players are sold i will not go and i have a feeling that i will not be the only one.

  29. dangoodyhammer says:

After the thrashing today, i cant help think the players were just playing for a move now the window will be opening shortly, anyone agree?

  30. HammersWest says:

    Don’t agree Dan Goody,
Bellars has been so close the last few weeks and trying so hard it was only a matter of time I don’t think he played any different today, Portsmouth were not as good as Villa.
Though I have to say FauxPas played well, and I am NOT a fan.
Merry Christmas (belated) and Happy New Year to all

  31. SJ Chandos says:

The Hammers board could end all the speculation now, by just stating who they will accept bids for in the January window. Their failure to do this indicates that they intend to sell major player assets.

Time will tell I guess, but if they do accept a bid for Bellamy, Green, Upson, et al, it is time for the fans to get organised and show their opposition. We need organised protests at Upton Park, to show that we will not take any more of their crap!

The loyalty of the Hammers support is legendary, but I think it will be irrepairably damaged by another relegation and sale of our promising youngsters. I do not say this with any pleasure whatsoever, but West Ham are, without a shadow of doubt , one of the most mis-managed (at a board level) clubs in the history of the English game. No other fans would have put up with it for so long!

  32. Richard says:

Hi Iain and other readers, have you been on WHUFC Website and read the Questions and Answers from Scott Duxbury. I think he is playing it cool and is doing a good PR role for the chairman. Because we have been hear before the club saying we won’t be selling our best players!. I hope West Ham do turn down bids for our best players. But understand fringe players who are on big long term contacts need to be moved on.
Not long to wait for the window to open!!!!. Watch this space.
Happy New year to you Iain and the rest of you who visit this excellent blog!.
