I echo your words Ian and send my condolences to the Lampard family. Frank Snr was a hero of mine and I saw him make his debut and I had high hopes when his son made his that he would become another West Ham legend. It wasnt to be but maybe now is the time for the fans to forget the past lay off Frank - its time the booing stopped anyway.

Frank Snr & Jnr., So very sorry for your loss.
58 is no age at all. Maybe some sort of foundation should be formed with monies being directed towards finding out why pneumonia has now become such a devasting illness; it didn’t used to be. I would support it.
April 25, 2008 at 1:41 am

April 25, 2008 at 1:14 pm
My condolences go out to the family at this tragic time !
Does anyone else think it may be a good idea to mark the passing in some sort of way at the game, perhaps a chant “SUPER FRANKY LAMPARDS !!!!!!” ? I think it is time to bury the hatchet and show that we are all as one ! The WHUFC family !???!!
Iain what do you think ? could you organise something along these lines ?
April 25, 2008 at 1:45 pm
Condolences to the Lampard family.
We know Frank Snr, very well, and Frank Jnr, we met him for a week, when he taught us at Martin Allen Soccer School, think Frank Jnr had jst got his first starts back then.
I hope all the banter kinda stops, and we all move on, cause life is 2 short, he was West Ham, and Im sure he still is.
April 25, 2008 at 1:55 pm
Very sad news. It would be very fitting for West Ham to wear the black armband on Saturday. The Lampards gave much to the club.
April 25, 2008 at 2:42 pm
Rest in peace Pat, the woman behind a West Ham legend and well… JR.

April 26, 2008 at 2:44 am
Sad news, condolences to the Lampard family.
April 26, 2008 at 9:02 am
I send my deepest sympathies to the entire Lampard family at their tragic loss. Frank Senior will always be a hero of mine, and I had hoped that Frank junior would develop into the same. Sadly he chose to do so at Chelsea, but he doesn’t deserve the barracking he gets at the Boleyn and I hope this will now cease.
God bless Frank, Senior & junior. Rest in Peace Pat
April 26, 2008 at 10:45 pm
RIP Mrs L.
My love and thoughts go out to the family!
This ain’t a football thing!
April 27, 2008 at 1:33 pm
Deepest sympathies to Franks jnr and snr. Would I be right in saying that Pat was Harry Redknapp’s sister? I seem to remember that Frank snr and Harry married one another’s sisters. Condolences to Harry too if so.
April 27, 2008 at 1:41 pm
Would be fitting if WHU can compete and beat Man U so showing that the fans hold no ‘real’ malice to Frank. Could someone going to Trafford take a banner to remind the lads to fight hard for the memory of Mrs Lampard.
